The paintings in The Land of the Blind, are made of unconventional materials - tar, oil paint and varnish. They were made with the intention of rethinking the role of abstract painting. They offer an intense dialogue between their constituent elements: stripes and circles, and the sticky consistency of the tar.

For me, my paintings are a cultural veil that do not really conceal much, or a field that does not have a start point or an end. They repeat themselves without leaving space to escape. This echoed the feelings I had when I lived in Israel under a continuous political tension relating to the Israel - Palestine crisis around occupation.
